full of thanksgiving

chris and i weren’t making cranberry sauce or pumpkin pie the day before thanksgiving. we were packing our bags to jet off to california for our long awaited visit to my brother, sister-in-law, and one year old niece’s place.

i am a pretty proud aunt and since we live in michigan and she lives in california, i try and suck up the moments we get with each other, to fill them with the best smiles, the biggest cuddles, and cutest little laughs. i know going into a visit that i have to make it last many months. and in many months, a one year old changes quite a bit.

indeed – she’s changed so much since she was in michigan for our wedding. she doesn’t look like a baby, she’s a toddler. she walks EVERYWHERE. her expressions are awesome. and she is so darn close to talking.

so, here’s a few moments from our visit. some grateful, heartfelt moments with the most energetic, cutest, and all together wonderful little one year old. i am so thankful to be auntie em, even when the moments are few and far between.
